Edible Nutella Play Dough

Remember being a little kid?

Playing at the park, eating ice cream cones, jumping on the trampoline, sleeping in, not having a care in the world?

Now flash back to reality. Mine is being stuck in a PreAlgebra prison. At school, at home, everywhere you go, you'll have homework for the darn thing.

Ah. To be four again.

One of the things that little kids love love LOVE is playdough.

Whenever I go babysitting, I always bring playdough (along with punch balloons, glow sticks, fruit snacks, puzzles, stories, and coloring books) because they like it so much!

Something that's really ironic about playdough is that you can't eat it, but almost all the play dough "toys" are something food related.

It's all food. And so of course, little kids want to eat their food creations, but they can't.

Well, not anymore!

This is play dough you can eat, and it's totally delicious!

Easy Edible Nutella Play dough
A fun playdough that you can actually eat! Made with nutella, and powdered milk, this is so easy and yummy, it's sure to be made more than once.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup nutella
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup powdered milk
  • 1/2 cup honey
Directions: Just mix it all together. It's very thick though, so an electric mixer is best.

I made peanut butter play dough before, and it just wasn't very good.

It wasn't like eew barf, get this out of my mouth right now , it was just . . . not good
I think it was because that recipe used only powdered sugar. Most recipes are either all powdered sugar, or all powdered milk.

Mine, has equal parts. All powdered milk gives it a grainy texture. All powdered sugar makes it too sweet and really weird. So, having both is perfect! The nutella flavor can still come through, and it's still smooth!

This was super fun to play with, especially playing bakery!

Of course, we also pretended it was, well, you'll see if you have kids in your house, they're kind of attracted to brown circular objects . . . in the toilet.

Yeah, don't pretend to eat diaper stuff.

Pretend to eat brownies!
